Beetham C Of E Aided Primary School

Our Church

We have a long, well established relationship with St. Michael and All Angels, and we are proud of the strong Christian ethos that underpins everything we do at Beetham Church of England Primary School. We value the links we have with the members of the church community, who are as well known to the children as the school staff! A highlight in our calendar is the Winter Fair; a joint effort between school and church which is enjoyed by many. We are proud holders of the Bishop’s Award, details of which can be found here.

Our Christian Values are displayed in the entrance to school and provide a strong focus for day to day activities. We enjoy a daily act of Collective Worship, and each term we focus on a specific value of:

This year’s Harvest Festival Service took place in church and was led by Mr Smalley and Mrs Stirrup. Both are well known to the children as they volunteer regularly in school and are on the Governing Body. They told a wonderful story about ‘stone soup’ and the children were proud to presents their contributions to Manna House in Kendal (a charity we support each year at Harvest time).

As always, December saw a wonderful Nativity Performance, followed by a beautiful Carol Service a week later. The church was packed with parents and other family members, who were all treated to fabulous acting, singing and performing by our talented and enthusiastic children! We also treated the customers at our local garden centre to some wonderful Carol Singing (and a few tunes from the Nativity Performance!)
